10 Days 9 Nights Grand Tour from Marrakech
Ten Days Nine Nights Grand Tour from Marrakech to discover the Imperial Cities, Atlantic Coastal Cities and Medinas, Sahara Desert and Atlas Mountains as you journey around Morocco.

Day 1: Marrakech - Fes
Arrival in Marrakech, one of our team will meet you quite early at your accommodation or at the airport if you have an early arrival, or from Casablanca airport. The day will be spent on the road to Fes, with its ancient medina of more than 9000 streets and the world’s largest car free zone. Accommodation in the old medina.

Day 2: Fes Guided Tour
Today you will have a guided tour to discover some of the monuments and interesting places in the old city. Accommodation in the old medina.

Day 3: Fes - Errachidia
After breakfast, your driver will meet you to start the journey south to Errachidia, passing through Azrou: the Little Switzerland of Morocco, Ifrane National Park, the Middle Atlas Mountains and the town of Midelt where there will be a lunch stop. Continuing south you will follow the Ziz River to Errachidia where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Errachidia - Tamnougalt
After breakfast, your driver and 4x4 will be waiting to take you on the next part of your adventure. The route takes you south through Erfoud: where fossils and minerals are worked with and turned into many beautiful objects. The next town is Rissani, home of the delicious Berber Pizza and the last trading post for the nomads that come from the desert to shop. Your journey takes a westerly turn across a different landscape and through kasbah villages, Alnif, Tazzarine and Nkob to reach Agdz and the Ksar of Tamnougalt for the nights’ accommodation.

Day 5: Tamnougalt - Dar Sidi Bounou
In the morning after breakfast you will have some time to explore the amazing Ksar and perhaps the caravanserai. We leave Tamnougalt and continue along the Draa Valley, a lush oasis of date palms interspersed with many small adobe villages and kasbahs. Travelling south, we pass through Zagora; the gateway to the Sahara, Tamagroute: where the beautiful green glazed ceramics are made, and Tagounite, before passing through the village of Ouled Driss to arrive at Bounou. You will spend the night at Dar Sidi Bounou.

Day 6: Dar Sidi Bounou - Erg L`houidi - Erg Chegaga
Today is for a different type of adventure travel. After breakfast, camels will arrive to take you on a 2 to 3 hour ride to Erg L´houidi, where you will have a welcome mint tea, some lunch and a rest. 4x4 transport will take you to Erg Chegaga: the biggest dunes and the bivouac camp where you will be spending the night. In the evening a delicious meal will be served, with traditional music around the campfire. You will sleep in Berber Tents under the canopy of stars.

Day 7: Chegaga - Foum Zguid - Tazenakht - Taroudant
After breakfast your driver will be waiting with the 4x4 to take you across diverse landscapes on off road tracks, black deserts, the dry salt lake of Iriki, Foum Zguid, small villages and oases to arrive at Taznakht: famous for its carpets. After a lunch break, your route will turn westwards, passing through the Saffron region of Taliouine and on to Taroudant known as small Marrakech. You will spend the night there.

Day 8: Taroudant - Essaouira
Leaving Taroudant the journey continues to the Atlantic Coast and the charming blue and white medina of Essaouira. This is a very historical and picturesque part of Morocco with abundant and delicious fish and seafood, delightful small streets and artisan crafts, restaurants and a fishing port full of bright blue boats. You will spend the night in the medina.

Day 9: Essaouira - Marrakech
After breakfast you will have some free time to explore Essaouira for a few hours, enjoy a seafood lunch and take a walk on the beach. You will then be driven to Marrakech, perhaps stopping to visit an Argan Cooperative on the way. The night will be spent in the old medina of Marrakech.

Day 10: Marrakech Guided Tour
Today your city guide will come to meet you at your accommodation; you will spend a half day being shown some of the old medina and its wonderful monuments and museums. The afternoon will be free to explore, do some shopping and enjoy the big square Jemaa el Fna. If you have a flight departure on this day, the driver will transfer you to the airport, or tomorrow if that is your program.

This is a flexible program that can be altered to suit your time frame, budget and preferences, also it is important to know that this entails a lot of time in a vehicle and may not suit all people, you may prefer to spend several days in one place and explore more. Whatever your preferences are, we can work with them to design you the ideal itinerary.
